What are the art jobs?
Buy a copy at Rabbits Road Press
A booklet exploring art and jobs by artists Sofia Niazi and Sarah Taylor Silverwood. The art world is a mysterious place, no two artists have the same work life and it can be difficult to understand how your skills, ideas and education could translate into a job. This booklet explores jobs in the art world from the perspective of two freelance artists and educators.
Initially devised to offer young people a better insight into the options they may have if they choose to pursue a creative career, having been given very little guidance at school ourselves, we hope this booklet offers anyone considering a career in the arts two honest and detailed accounts of what being an artist today looks and feels like.

This comic uses a series of interviews with real residents of the West Point housing estate, past and present, to examine how architectural design has played a part in people's lives over 55 years. These interviews sit alongside explorations of original archive material and architectural plans.
The project instigates conversations about how architectural design can influence the way people live and interact, with an overarching narrative of the housing boom in the post-war era. The project follows on from research done during a residency researching housing in Chicago (British Consulate in Chicago residency, 2014).
Printed by Rope Press. Limited Edition risograph print of 500.
Project curated by Anna Douglas, and supported by Arts Council England.
